Welcome Home Pet Sitting

This is our Louie! He came to us a little over a year ago. He & his brother were actually my clients at first. Their family included 6 children & they were planning on moving to a new house. Having both dogs & the 6 children got to be a little too much so we offered to take Louie in as long as he got along with cats! We did a trial run & he did great!! So he came to live with us! We have been so blessed by having this sweet, well behaved, loving, protective, loyal, & funny dog with us!!
His previous mother actually I like to call her his "birth mom" did such a great job training him. And we are truly so grateful!! Within the first week of adopting him he knew his new name (previous name used to be Zorro Louis, hence why we call him Louie now), stayed with us without a leash, & found "his" potty place where he goes every time!
He had a few new things to get used to at first. For instance learning to sleep on a bed. It took him falling off (while in deep sleep might I add) 3 times to figure it out! I had to actually apologize to the neighbor below because he made such a loud "boom" when he hit the floor at 3 in the morning! Scared the heck outa me can't imagine what it was like for him! He also had to learn how to ride in the front seat of a car! Going under bridges and riding along side big trucks made him want to head to the backseat and hide! But with positive reinforcement we can now drive by big yellow school buses with his head out the window!! He's also learned new vocabulary words. For example when we are driving and I spot another dog I say, "PUPPY!!" & he searches until he finds the dog & then watches it until he can't see it anymore! "Cookie", "Dog Park"&"Find Gabbee" (my daughter) are just a few more of his new vocabulary words! He's also learned to go everywhere with us & gets along with just about every animal! Squirrels & rabbits are his downfall. He loves to chase them!
He has truly blessed us with so much laughter, joy, & fun times that I just can't imagine life without him!
